Teenager Finds A Wallet With $2300 Inside And Makes A Surprising Decision

When someone misplaces their wallet or purse and a stranger finds it, what happens next can go one of two ways: Either the stranger takes everything inside and pretends nothing ever happened, or they return it to its rightful owner.

When San Francisco high school student Tommy O’Connor was walking to a local convenience store to buy a soda, he noticed something on the ground. It was a wallet and it was loaded with cash.. He immediately knew what he had to do…

Tommy O’Connor, a senior at Irvington High School in California was walking to a convenience store to buy a soda when he made a stunning discovery — a wallet. When he checked it, he discovered there was $ 2,300 cash tucked neatly inside.

Rather than taking the money and ditching the wallet, Tommy brought the wallet to a teacher’s aide. After looking at the I.D. inside the wallet, the aide was able to locate its rightful owner, who happened to be a veteran.

Tommy’s mother was ecstatic about the good deed of her son, especially because his family is living paycheck-to-paycheck; she knew it was not an easy decision for him to make.

Tommy was clearly raised right. Instead of crediting himself for the good deed, he told his mom that it was because of her that he returned the wallet.

Tommy went above and beyond. Hopefully, something equally as wonderful happens to Tommy and his family.
