Creative Collective Replaces All the Ad Space at a South London Tube Stop With Pictures of Cats

In May 2016, we wrote about the Citizens Advertising Takeover Service (CATS) by the creative collective Glimpse and their mission to raise enough money to replace the advertising in a London tube station with pictures of cats. The group successfully raised the funds necessary to do so and Glimpse founder James Turner announced today that they’ve taken over the 68 advertisement spaces at the Clapham station in South London.

For the next two weeks, a Tube station in South London will create a rip in the space time continuum. The Citizens Advertising Takeover Service has replaced 68 adverts in Clapham Common with pictures of cats. This isn’t a clever marketing stunt for a pet food brand, or a guerrilla campaign for a new TV series. The people behind it are volunteers who raised the money on Kickstarter. We want to inspire people to think differently about the world and realise they have the power to change it.
